Solution description
As a partner of 4B Fenster AG, KCS.net implemented a comprehensive redesign of the existing im-plementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX. In this context, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 was introduced and the previous interface solutions were replaced by a comprehensive solution based on Microsoft BizTalk Server. In addition, the system design of the productive environment was redefined and installed in cooperation with 4B Fenster. Production planning, purchasing, warehouse management and logistics processes were integrated. The value flows and cost accounting were relaunched. Furthermore, a corresponding environment was created for reporting. The KCS.net module "Product Labelling" was installed for product labelling and identification along the supply chain. Thanks to the "Supplier Management" KCS.net module, the workflows for supplier evaluation and dunning in purchasing are now optimally supported as well.
Advantages and benefits
The successful redesign has created a foundation for the further optimisation of processes. The inte-gration offers significant advantages for controlling specific processes at 4B Fenster: A greater degree of transparency in the overall process, a greater ability to provide information as well as stronger controlling and automating functions. In a follow-up project, KCS.net will design and realise additional beneficial innovations such as handheld devices, BDE and EDI at 4B Fenster.
"Within the scope of the project, KCS.net not only convinced with its professional and technical expertise; the special commitment of the team involved also contributed to the success of this demanding implementation."
